A Healdsburg Girls Weekend at Little Saint
Lindsey and I escaped to Healdsburg for a long-overdue girls trip, settling into the The Cottages at Little Saint—an eclectic gem with dark, moody interiors, a cute pool, and an unbeatable location right in the heart of town. The vibe was exactly what we needed: cool, laid-back, and perfectly Healdsburg.
We kicked things off with the annual Pigs & Pinot event, a celebration of all things pork featuring chefs from across wine country. This year's theme was father and son, and the energy was electric. We met Wolfgang Puck (so sweet!) and snagged a photo, then spent the evening tasting wines from up and down the West Coast while sampling every imaginable pig-themed dish. Delicious chaos in the best way.
The next morning we brunched at Little Saint's vegan restaurant—lovely interior, even lovelier patio—and were thrilled to stumble upon a one-time pop-up of the seasonal farmers market, which hadn't officially started yet but opened just for that unseasonably warm weekend. Serendipity at its finest. From there we wandered into town for pedicures, fresh-baked donuts at Dutch Door Donuts (delish!), and a little shop browsing before landing at Martha Stoumen Wines for a tasting. Her focus on older, lost grape varietals and natural winemaking really shines through, and the labels—designed by her husband—are gorgeous. We paired our tasting with a charcuterie platter from Journeyman Meats, then headed back to the inn to sip bubbles by the pool and chat for hours as the sun set. That evening we freshened up and grabbed dinner at The Matheson, perched at the bar with great food and even better conversation.
Our last morning started slow—I grabbed coffee from Little Saint while we leisurely packed our bags. We tried Acorn Cafe for brunch and were pleasantly surprised by everything, then did one last stroll through town before heading home. A delightful weekend with a great friend, exactly what we both needed.
